Klober is supporting Quality Plumber Week from 2nd – 8th October to celebrate the work skilled plumbing and heating engineers carry out everyday.
Organised by the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC), the 4th Quality Plumber Week aims to build on the success of previous years to unite the industry in shining a spotlight on the vital role played by properly qualified, trained and accredited plumbers. This is becoming increasingly important as the popularity of green technologies.
John Thompson, Chief executive of the APHC explained, “Quality Plumber Week aims to unite the plumbing sector to showcase the important work that we do in keeping society healthy, warm and safe. I hope that everyone will come together to help raise awareness amongst consumers of the many highly qualified professionals we have in our industry.”
The week’s focus will also be on promoting the industry to a new generation, encouraging school leavers to consider the rewards and benefits of a career in the industry. It will also highlight work to tighten up Building Regulations enforcement to protect consumers and ensure a level playing field for those who comply with the UK’s rigorous construction and installation standards. The APHC found that 74% of heating businesses believe that stricter enforcement would be beneficial in the face of competitors who bypass regulations to undercut.
Klober Marketing Manager Andrew Cross commented: “This is the second opportunity Klober has had to support Quality Plumber Week and we believe that doing so can only highlight the quality of products such as those in our lead-free flashings range.”
