In the Football Spirit: Taking a Look Back at the Euros 2020
What a season of football the Euros 2020 was! Full of highs and lows, excitement and nerves all the way to the very end.
To get into the spirit of the competition, David, who looks after our colour matching service put his creative skills to use by painting the flags of every country to play against England in the knock-out stages, and the flags for the WAL vs DEN match, on one of our Tile Vents. From the St. Georges cross, the Italian and German three-striped flags to the more complicated Welsh dragon, David’s level of skill and eye for detail has given us lots to shout about.
Although the Euros had a disappointing end for England, seeing a defeat by Italy on penalties (ON PENALTIES!) we’re sure we can all agree that it was an incredible run - and the first time England have reached a final in a major tournament since 1966 is quite impressive and promising. Not only that, but after such a tough year dealing with the pandemic, it brought a lot of excitement, positivity and celebrations that, let’s face it, we all deserved.
With all the excitement at an end, Dave continues his regular duties at our Castle Donington Warehouse, ready for the next big football tournament. In the meantime, if you want to use David’s creative hand to colour match your roof vents to your tiles then get in touch.
