Can you explain a little bit about your career path? I have always been driven by a passion for sales. My journey began in the golfing industry with Glenmuir, before I moved into the beauty sector with Clarins. Then, eleven years ago, I took a leap into the roofing industry, where I really did find my calling - and I’ve been here ever since. Personal and professional growth have always been important to me. Making a positive impact, tackling challenges and driving meaningful change gives me a great sense of satisfaction. Taking on a leadership role provides the opportunity to contribute more to the organisation while helping to build a motivated and dynamic team. To prepare for this role, I pursued a Senior Leadership and Management University course, which has equipped me with many of the skills and confidence needed to excel. What advice would you give someone who’s looking to progress in their career? Demonstrate commitment, ask questions, learn as much as you can and always try new things. Be prepared to push yourself, and always try to venture outside your comfort zone. Do you have any predictions for the roofing industry in 2025? 2025 is likely to see a stronger focus on service delivery and cost efficiency across the sector as a whole. Solar solutions are expected to gain traction as companies look for ways to innovate. Also, there’s growing recognition of the importance of roof ventilation in improving energy efficiency and prolonging roof lifespan. The sector will also explore the development of new technologies to address evolving demands and enhance overall performance. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role? I'm most looking forward to the new challenge, re-engaging with customers old and new, knowing we are enhancing their buying experience. I'm also excited to be working with a great team where we will see new concepts and ideas come to fruition. What is something about yourself that your colleagues don’t know about you? I would have said my love for boxing and Anthony Joshua. However, I do believe the cat may just be out of the bag on that one. Swimming with sharks was a pretty cool experience and something that people probably won't know about me.
