With the Construction Products Association recently predicting a 14% rise in construction output in 2021, Klober has enhanced its commercial team to support
customers during an expected busy period.

Tom Holden joins the leading roofing ventilation and components manufacturer as Area Account Manager. His employment follows what has been a challenging time for the sector, but ahead of expected restabilising of the market.

Along with increased growth in commercial and industrial development, the housing and home renovations market expects to see further growth. According to analysis of local authority planning data commissioned by Santander, there were over 60,000 applications for extensions and conversions from UK homeowners during the 13 weeks of the initial lockdown in 2020. At Klober, Tom will support this growth through advice and project support, particularly in North Wales, the North West and the West Midlands, where Tom will be instrumental in supporting customers and key accounts.

Tom brings with him 15 years’ experience in business development across various areas of the construction industry. Having previously worked in distribution, Tom built a solid understanding of the entire supply chain through regular engagement with
contractors.

Commenting on his new role, Tom said: “It’s an exciting time to join Klober as there’s so much opportunity afoot for the industry, particularly with certain political changes starting to take effect. Part of my attraction to Klober was that it’s part of a larger global group sourcing product from around Europe based on quality. Having worked with distributors in previous jobs, I have seen Klober’s products first-hand and know they are highly valued by contractors and installers.

“The business has big plans this year and is significantly investing in its ranges so that industry has more choice when it comes to raising quality standards. I can’t wait to get out there to share all these new developments with customers.”

Tom will report directly into Chris Nicholls, Commercial Director, who was also recently appointed. He added: “Tom is a great addition to the commercial team – he has an excellent grasp of our products and will go above and beyond to ensure his customers are happy. I am looking forward to working with him on a number of exciting developments this year.”
