This year, more than any other year, Klober has decided to focus on learning, training and support opportunities, to share our expertise with architects, installers, merchants and anyone that may be interested in learning more about the world of roofing, roof components and relevant building and British Standards regulations.
This CPD focuses on the ‘Elimination of condensation in pitched roofs: in support of BS 5250:2021’. The CPD focuses on a common problem faced by the industry and provides detailed guidance on how to choose a roofing underlay suited to most pitched roof scenarios.
This CPD is relaunched at a very relevant time, coinciding with the British Standards update and re-naming of BS 5250 (now called Management of Moisture in Buildings). It also coincides with recent news that UK households will be expected to pay upwards of 50% more on their energy bills by April 2021. As a topic that focuses heavily on building energy efficient homes, we hope this will support the focus this country has on energy efficient buildings by ways of reducing the loss of energy via the roofspace.
Klober will be rolling out further CPDs to support learning within the building and roofing sector to raise the roofing standards. Upon completion of this CPD, the user will have a greater understanding of how condensation is formed in the roofspace, how to reduce the risk of condensation forming, and some of the products that can directly support the management of roof space ventilation.
For more information on learning with Klober, you may wish to read about our new ‘How to Install…’ videos, that show step by step installation of some of our most popular products.
